River Strategy
Omaha Hi/Lo poker river strategy helps you to understand where you stand among all the other players. In this strategy, there are only two things, either you hit or you miss. If you have the cards you can make it or you lose, and this has to be decided by looking at the available cards.
If one is trying for a low hand, he has to see how low his cards are and can he make up a lowest hand. He has to decide all this from the cards he has in his hands and from three cards on the table. If the numbers of players are more, he has to have a good low hand to increase his chances of winning. If he doesn’t have a good low hand, it is obvious that someone else has and he won’t be able to get what he aimed at.
Now if the player tries for a high hand, he has to know how high his hand is. It is possible that some other player may have a better high hand than he has. If there are three cards on the table of the same suit, a player could stand a chance of flush.
Thus, at such instances, one has to play a game which is properly thought and he should not end up losing everything. Thus, if you know that someone else could have a better hand than you do, you should fold. People keep betting and do not give up many times. This is what leaves them with nothing. If you have to fold and you know it, you should act upon it on the correct time.
