For having a qualifying low hand, you must have at least two cards which are eight or less than eight. Thus, you must know which cards can be used for making a hand and which cards on the table would help you to keep you hand lowest.
First you should know that do you have cards which are low enough to make you win the hand. knowing how low the cards are is very important because, if the cards are as big as 8 or 7 or 6, the chances of winning the lower hand is almost negligible. Thus, having cards which can make a better lower hand is very important. One has to know what further steps are to be taken in the round or the game.
One should know what steps would be taken by the opponents and thus, has to play accordingly and try to minimize the effect on him of the strategies applied by others. Strategies are responsible for making people win games making them professionals.
