Omaha Hi/Lo The Best Online Omaha Hi/Lo Guide

Kill & Half Kill

At most of the casinos, the rules for playing Omaha Hi/Lo are standard and are followed properly. But, at places, there are variations in the rules. These variations make the game even more interesting. There are variations at different stages in Omaha Hi/Lo. One of them is ‘kill and half kill’.

In a kill game, if a player wins the whole pot i.e. scooping of pot, the low limit bet size for the next round is doubled. In a half kill game, in this condition, the low limit bet size of the round is increased by 50%. Now in the next round, the player who did the scooping of the pot has to place a blind equal to the new low limit bet size of the round.

The normal small and big blinds will be placed as usual and the new blind will be an additional one. If the player, who has met the kill, is the one who is supposed to place small or big blind, then the player will place only the blind of the new low limit bet size and not he small or big blind which he has to place normally. At some places the killer plays last, i.e. after the blinds play.

There are other variations also in the game which act at different stages. These variations in the rules of the games make the game more interesting. This game has more of action and fascinates lots of people.
