Omaha Hi/Lo Rules
Omaha Hi/Lo also known as Omaha eight or eight or better is a game which resembles other games like Omaha and Texas hold ‘em, but is very different. Though these games seem to have same king of play, the strategies used in these are extremely different. Omaha Hi/Lo game is altogether a different game, which includes a lot of action and skills.
In this game, the players are dealt four private cards followed by five communal cards which are kept in the centre of the table. Each player has to use exactly two private cards and exactly three communal cards to make a hand of five cards. Omaha Hi/Lo is a game in a game. It splits the pot into two. Players have to make one high five card hand and one low five card hand.
The player with the highest five card hand wins one half of the pot and the player with the lowest five card hand wins the other half of the pot. If the lowest hand does not qualify, the whole pot is won by the player with the highest five card hand.
